CUTENESS COMPETITION FROM THE EASTER BUNNY?

Although we cats are, without question, the cutest animals on earth, at this time of the year, we face serious cuteness competition from the Easter Bunny. Like us, bunnies have soft fur and adorable little faces, and if that isn't enough, they wiggle their little pink noses.

How can we cats compete with that? Funny you should ask... in my forthcoming book, The World Is Your Litter Box, (yes, another crass, shameless plug) I have a chapter called "Holiday Fun & Danger." The "Easter" segment of the chapter includes detailed advice on how to meet the Easter bunny's cuteness mano a mano and send him (or her) packing with its cute little tail between its legs.

Unfortunately, my book won't be out in time for Easter, so in the meantime, just let your human know that while the Easter bunny may be the "cuteness" champ this Sunday, you provide cuteness 365 days a year with no strings (or Easter baskets) attached.

I was looking at your profile and picture and you kinda have my coloring. Are you sure you aren't a Flame Point Siamese?

Hi Junior,

We do kinda look alike... in fact, we're both a couple of handsome guys! I don't know if I have any Flame Point Siamese in me, but it's certainly possible. Maybe someday, I'll have my DNA tested

I think that bunnie and cats are both cute in their own ways.

Nice to meet you, Quasi, and thank you for visiting our blog. Your book sounds furry interesting and we may just have to ask Mom to buy it and read it to us.

Our motto for Easter "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em". Do you like my bunny ears?

Hoppy Easter to you!

Hi Karen Jo,

Thanks for visiting my blog. I grudgingly admit that bunnies ARE pretty cute (but not nearly as cute, or clever, as cats)!

Hi Cat-a-Holic, Lilly and Laila,

Nice to meet you, too, and thanks for the kind words about my book. You might want to buy one for you mom... you can pre-order a copy from Amazon or Barnes & Noble and have it by Mother's Day. Hey, let's face it... the best gifts are the ones that ultimately benefit us cats!

Aren't bunnies just cats with big ears?

I like bunnies. Because the Easter Bunny brings me many treats for my basket on Easter. I have some bunny friends, too.

Zevo, no, no, no! Cats are much smarter than bunnies. Can bunnies train humans? No? There you are. Daisy, you are very sweet. Enjoy your treats. But remember: we provide cuteness 365 days a year, not just once!

We are going to make sure People sends something for the flooded cats in the MidWest.

Thank-you for stopping in at our blog, we'll make People get the book, too. I need something new now that Gonzo has learned how to turn on the TV and change the channels, which he does just as I am enjoying a good Animal Planet program!

And in our minds, bunnies ('cept the EB who comes but once the year) are really wonderful-TO CHASE, ROFL!
