HIGH GAS PRICES

Over the past month or so, and especially over the last couple weeks, Steve and his female have been grousing about the high cost of gas. I think gas has something to do with those loud, scary machines that humans drive, but I really don’t understand it. To be perfectly honest, the only gas I’m aware of is what comes out of that little hole under my tail from time to time.

Still, to me, the answer is actually very simple: If humans are so worried about the high cost of gas, why don’t they drive cars and trucks that don’t guzzle so much… or, better yet, figure out a more energy efficient (and cleaner) way to power their vehicles. Do we cats have to think of EVERYTHING?

I have an idea. Why don't cats offer to sell humans cat gas to power cars at a lower cost than what they pay at the gas "station"? Or better yet, refuse to sell them gas -- that way, humans won't be able to take us to vets in the scary metal machines?

I think my cat stroller is the perfect solution.

My mom says she wishes we could go back to the days when everyone rode horses. She's silly. Stubborn, too.

Yes you are so right! Humans need to walk more, bike more and use smaller cars.

Cats are so much smarter!

Good post, Quasi, and I agree. We cats really should run the world. We have innate common sense that so many humans seem to lack!

My mom and dad love to walk. They hike in the mountains regularly, sometimes nine miles at a time. Walking never hurt anybody; actually, it helps everybody!

Zevo Calamari said it well: smaller cars, more walking, more biking.

My mouth is even better -- I'm eating crunchies today! *smile* And Temptations!

The Missus needs a new car, and we're going to wait until we can plug it in and go 60 miles with no gas and no emissions. We can hardly wait!

Yes, it is all up to us cats. After all, we've got nine lives to ponder the issues, to think it over, right? So that certainly creates some high level of wisdom in us.

I don't mean to gripe but your humans should see the gas prices here in England - that's why us cats are smart to stick to walking (well, that and the fact we can't see over the steering wheel). FAZ

Sadly, I think we cats do have to think of everything. Daisy has a very good point about her stroller. Most of the comments here agree that walking is good for our flabby beans. My mommie ML is constantly saying, everytime she scoops our litter boxes, she wishes there was a way to convert "all that poop" into energy. She says with our six cats, they could drive everywhere they ever needed to go. Then she says people would want more cats so they could make more fuel.
Ha ha, can you imagine a cat-poop fueled car??? Let the jokes begin.

pee ess: Sorry to delete the comment above, my typist messed up on the spelling. Good thing I was looking over her shoulder to catch it.

I think cats are always smarted than people. I say, humans should just stay home with their kitties and doggies!

I hear those complaints too, maybe that will keep them home more! I've noticed that when the lady servant walks home from work she is home over an hour later than usual so I'm not satisfied with this "meal delay". I think the best thing would be for her boss to let her work from home: better for the environment and for ME!
