Congratulations to David Cook for being chosen as the new American Idol. Being an old rock ‘n roller myself (mostly a roller), I’m glad to see that a rocker made it over a crooner.
I do, however, have two other comments about American Idol:
- All contestants should be asked if they love cats. If they don't, they should be harshly castigated by Simon and booted off the show immediately.
- I would STILL rather be chased around the house by the hated vacuum cleaner than have to watch one episode of American Idol. Steve agrees with me, but the female is a huge Idol fan… so, needless to say, American Idol stays on in our household.

Goes to show that cats should ALWAYS be in charge! :) Personally I don't mind the show, but the initial auditions are my favorites. I usually lose interest after that.
It is a very good idea to make sure that Idol contestants love cats. It says a lot about the humans we have enslaved. ;)
We don't have to watch Idol in our house! Just other stupid stuff.
I live with four of the female genre, so guess what we were watching?
We think it would be a great question for the contestants! You need to call in next year and ask!

Guess what! I love Rock n Roll, too. You might not guess that because I am such a serene ladycat, but I love classic rock like Zeppelin and Hendrix! *smile*
My mom and dad don't watch American Idol, but I do agree with you that all contestants ought to love cats! That's only sensible.
